Balancing Comfort, Style, and Practicality for the Modern Family

As a busy mom, I need a car that’s reliable, comfortable, and easy to handle. The 2019 Peugeot 3008 checks all those boxes and more. It’s not just a vehicle, it’s an extension of my lifestyle, a tool that makes my daily tasks easier and more enjoyable.

Standout Features: A Blend of Style and Functionality

The standout features for me are its sleek look, comfort, and size. The car’s design is modern and stylish, a definite head-turner on the roads. But it’s not just about looks. The comfort level is top-notch, with plush seating and a smooth ride that makes even long journeys enjoyable. The size is perfect for a family, with ample space for all passengers and a generous boot for all our stuff.

The array of cameras that make parking and reversing a breeze is a godsend for those tight parking spots at the supermarket. The automated lighting system is another feature that I appreciate, especially when driving at night. It adjusts the lights as needed, dipping them when it recognises an oncoming car or even the rear lights of a car I am following.

Apple CarPlay is an added bonus that enhances the driving experience. It allows me to connect my iPhone to the car and use my favourite apps on the go. Whether it’s playing my favourite podcast on the school run or using maps for directions, it’s a feature that I use daily.

The i-Cockpit: Personalised Driving Experience

The car’s i-Cockpit can be configured to display what you prefer. We have a big digital speedometer, fuel range, and rev counter. The rev counter conveniently displays important information or sat nav instructions, which is very helpful when driving to new places. It’s like having a personal assistant on the dashboard, always ready to provide the information I need.

Comfort Controls: Room for Improvement

The comfort controls, however, are a bit tricky to handle while driving. I thought I’d get used to the piano keys to access the screen functions, but it can be a bit distracting when I need to quickly switch on the air con during a hot flush. I’d prefer the heating and comfort controls to be separate from the screen. It’s a small gripe, but one that I feel could improve the user experience.

Perfect for All Journeys

The car is perfect for both long and short journeys. It’s very comfortable with plenty of legroom and boot space for our family trips. The traffic sign recognition feature is a fun addition – my 4-year-old loves to tell me off if I go over the speed limit! It’s these small features that make the car not just a mode of transport, but a part of our family.

The steering wheel is a delight to handle, boasting a compact, sleek, and sporty design. Its compactness ensures minimal arm movement, making steering feel effortless and enjoyable.

Camera Systems: A Second Pair of Eyes

The camera systems are incredibly helpful, especially when parking or reversing. It’s so good that it’s tempting not to even bother looking! It’s like having a second pair of eyes, always watching out for potential obstacles, particularly in those tight supermarket spaces. It gives the impression that I’m an expert at parking!

Colour Options: It’s not all black and white

There’s obviously an array of colour options but I opted for the white model, but the black one looks equally smart. It’s a matter of personal preference, but I really felt that the black or white colours add to the car’s sleek and modern look.

Final Thoughts

Overall, I’m really satisfied with this car and would highly recommend it to other moms or families out there. It’s not about being fast or cool while doing the school run, but about having a solid, safe, and comfortable car. The 2019 Peugeot 3008 Allure BlueHDi S/S. is a car that understands the needs of a modern mom, and delivers on all fronts.

Carwow Review // RAC Review // Auto Express Review

According to the RAC review, the Peugeot 3008's design is stylish and distinctive, with a quality interior that sets it apart. The ‘i-Cockpit’ layout is unique and offers a fully configurable and customisable 12.3-inch colour screen. The boot space is impressive at 591 litres, which is nearly 90 litres more than the previous generation model. The review also mentions that the car has excellent ride quality and improved driving dynamics. However, the diesel engines can be a bit noisy when pushed. Despite this, the Peugeot 3008 is considered a very sophisticated compact SUV.
